I go to two different pro tuners for the dyno stuff, then I clean it up road tuning it myself. Now I've been learning the Subaru for a few years now. I learned enough that I would rent dyno time and do things myself. Discover short videos related to etunershq on TikTok. He even showed me how he was running the dyno. He talked with me before putting the car on the rollers, then had me sit in the passenger seat while tuning & basically explained everything he was doing & why-along with common issues/errors typical to new tuners. Enough to get my new engine setup running and broke in before going to the pro tuner. I had been messing around with learning to tune on my car-tons of research & limited actual tuning. My first pro tune experience was the exact opposite. Sounds like you either went to the wrong tuner, or he was having a bad day. It would be nice to understand what I just spent a lot of money I don't really have on. I felt more of a nuisance to the shop personnel when I was just eager to see the parts they installed and hopequally learn a little about these apparent finicky vehicles. I thought i would provide some input as to what my expectations were for the car, my driving habits, my name, etc. Don't get me wrong the car is running great and I'm very happy with so far. I recently had my car pro-tuned and it went a little differently than I expected.
